Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010

Great game use on this Kjell Samuelsson game worn Pittsburgh Penguins jersey from the mid-1990s is obvious thanks to the extensive stick marks and paint transfer all over the front, as well as both sleeves. Obtained from Philadelphia during the 1991-92 season, Samuelsson was on hand as Mario Lemieux led the Penguins to their second straight Stanley Cup that spring. This beauty of a Pens gamer dates from the tail end of big Kjell's 3-plus years in Pittsburgh. His #28 is handwritten in black marker on the CCM tag that remains in the neck along with a size 54 fly tag. This battle battered jersey's fight strap is intact and unrepaired holes, friction burns, nicks and dings dot both sleeves. A great Penguins jersey was clearly game worn, no if, ands, or buts about it.
