Wonderful wooden mementos from two of the greatest home run hitters of all time. The ancient toned-wood Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Louisville Slugger 40 “Bone Rubbed” B.R.J. bat has the facsimile signature of George “Babe” Ruth on the barrel along with “Trade Mark, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.”. This junior model bat measures out to approximately 32 inches in length and is in very good condition with wear at the business end. Another bat in the collection, a cracked-handle “Made in Canada” H&B Grand Slam model, sports the facsimile signature of its endorser, Hank Aaron with the block letter “Henry Aaron Model” stamped on the barrel. This one has a “5” stamped into the knob and measures 35 inches. Also included is a wonderful memorial medal, dating back to the 1940’s, with the raised image of Babe Ruth on the front and the years of his life, “1895 – 1948” below. The reverse lists his career accomplishments with the phrase “You Too, Are a True Champion”. A perfect presentation piece to round out this collection of baseball treasures.
