The 2009 Montreal Centennial Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2009
This remarkable lot is made up of 13 original Providence/Rhode Island Reds AHL game programs from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. A pair of 1930s “The Puck Chasers” magazines, each with a face value of 10 cents, include an intact 1936 program, and another from the following season for a Reds game against Pittsburgh that has had pages cut in two places inside. Six programs from the 1940s include one from 1941 with Butch Bouchard in the Reds’ lineup and another from 1942 with Eddie Shore in the Springfield’s lineup, along with others from 1943-44, 1946-47 and 1947-48, all five with one page cut inside. An intact 1948-49 program closes out the decade while two more from January 4 and February 12 of the following season launch the 1950s. Intact programs from 1951-52, 1954-55 and 1955-56 complete this sensational collection of original Reds programs.
