The Pens traveled to the Duck Pond in Anaheim on December 15, 2002. Lemieux was the league's top scorer entering the game with 15 goals and 37 points but would be kept off the score sheet this night and his 13-game scoring streak would be halted byJ.S. Giguere as the Ducks skated to a 5-0 win over Mario's Pens. This bold black uniform with shimmering gold trim was worn that night by Mario. The fightstrap is marked "12/15 ANA" in black marker. An exclusive tag in the collar reads "Pittsburgh Penguins, Game Worn Authentic" with a space holding the signature of Steve Latin, Equipment Manager. The Canadian flag size 56 fly tag below has Steve's marked "66C". One nice stick slash appears on the lower front with a smaller blue mark on the diagonal gold stripe. In addition, the arms and elbows show a number of small light marks and scuffs. The jersey will come with an LOA.
