The 2009 Montreal Centennial Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2009
Two attractive displays here were once presented to Jacques Demers, the man who took over as head coach of the Red Wings in 1986-87 and quickly was able to "right" the ship, becoming the first and still only bench boss to win back-to-back NHL coach-of-the-year honors. A superb 20" by 24" framed official team photo of the '87-88 Wings squad captained by Steve Yzerman and including Oates, Probert, Gallant, Klima, Snepsts and Kocur is nicely autographed on the back in black sharpie, as is a work of art depicting Jacques with the Jack Adams Trophy. "Durand" is the name of the artist and the triple matted artwork, which notes Demers' '86-87 and '87-88 Adams trophies, is framed to approximately 23" by 30". Splendid pieces were originally obtained from Jacques Demers.
