Mr. Hockey and the Great One. The famous shot of Gordie Howe mugging it up for a photo with Wayne Gretzky by hooking the child prodigy with a hockey stick has become an iconic Canadian image. The image itself measures20 x 12 and black sharpie signatures from both Howe and Gretzky adorn the bottom of the 25 x 15 print that features a WG Authentic hologram sticker with number 6 of a limited edition of 299 written in black marker beside it. The photo is beautifully mounted in a two-level beige, white and dark brown matte and presented in a gorgeous 31 x 22 wood frame. Gretzky as a child skating on his backyard rink with his father Walter looking on blended with an action scene of the adult superstar as captain of the Los Angeles Kings is the image conjured up in this 1991lithograph by artist James Lumbers. Number 5,460 of a limited edition of 9,999 titled A Boy and His Dream, the 18 x 23 image is mounted in a three-level white, silver and grey matte and presented in a 29 x 33 grey wood frame. A 1997 print titled Wayne Gretzkys features the Great One as a member of the Rangers keeping watch over his downtown Toronto restaurant. The16 x 12 print is number 19 of a limited edition of 999 and it is nicely mounted in a 26 x 20 black frame. Comes with an LOA.
