The 2009 Montreal Centennial Auction

Purple Sher-Wood PMP 7000 model stick was wielded by the incomparable Guy Lafleur during his second go-round in the NHL. After a 3-1/2 absence from NHL rinks, the Flower made a successful comeback in 1988 with the Rangers, then skated two more seasons with the Nordiques, proving that he had indeed retired prematurely in 1984. With a narrow "heel", the lumber includes "Lafleur 10" stamped on the shaft. White cloth tape forms Guy's usualknob/handle job while white tape originally on the blade was removed at some point. Stick shows nice game use but remains solid and has no cracks. A player who a certain generation will tell other generations about for years, Lafleur was something special, a true joy for all hockey fans to watch.
