The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
The Toronto Blue Jays became one of the rare modern professional
sports franchises to successfully defend a championship when they won
back-to-back World Series in 1992 and 1993. Joe Carter’s home run of
Philadelphia’s Mitch Williams in the ninth inning of Game 6 allowed
the Blue Jays to repeat in 1993 after Toronto became the first
Canadian team to win the World Series the previous season with a six-
game win over the Atlanta Braves. This official 1993 World Series
baseball is covered with signatures of members of the repeat
champions, including Hentgen, Morris, Leyva, Butler, Carter, Leiter,
Griffin, Eichorn, Timlin, Ward, Bailor, Cox, Tenace, Coles, Schofield,
Henderson, White, and others.
