This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
Bee Hive corn syrup was a great source of hockey memorabilia in its day, and continues to provide fantastic treasures for current collectors. This outstanding lot of Bee Hive memorabilia includes two copies of promotional giveaways, original editions of the 1937-38 Who’s Who in the NHL and the 1940-41 Who’s Who in the NHL, both edited by Wes McKnight. This lot also features a promo slip from the mid-1930s offering free shields of the eight NHL teams at the time, including the New York Americans and the Montreal Maroons, a pair of blank Bee Hive scribblers from the 1960s and a Bee Hive promotional cigarette lighter. A variety of original Bee Hive syrup containers – none with their original hockey promotion rings – complete the collection, including a pair of empty 5 lb. tins with their cover, three 1 lb. tins – one full, one empty and with its cover and one without, one 10 lb. tin and three 2 lb. tins – one full, one with some syrup, and one empty.
