The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
This treasure from the early days of organized hockey dates back to the early-1910s, prior to the outbreak of the First World War. The silver plated trophy stands nearly 11" tall and features a pair of curved handles on either side of its long and elegant cup. The face of the cup is engraved "W&D" along with crossed hockey sticks and the years 1911, 1912 and 1913, along with "Presented to W.A. Wright to champions St. J. Amateur Hockey League". This fantastic early hockey award would make for a classy addition to any vintage tropy display.
