The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
Marvelous mitts worn by Super Mario from a memorable Stanley Cup winning season with conclusion photo evidence of their use. Mario led his Penguins to a second straight Stanley Cup at the conclusion of 1991-92 and a number of hockey cards from this year show Super Mario wearing these exact gloves. Koho 600 gloves are all-nylon with supple leather palms and each has a larger faded marker number “66” inside the custom shortened cuff. Nice use with heavy wear and stick markings on the outside with matching wear inside although they appear to have been re-palmed. This pair comes complete with a detailed letter of authenticity from noted Pens expert Casey Samuelson of Penguins Chronicles and three hockey cards showing the matches.
