The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008

Highly sought-after V-style Canucks uniform worn during the very early-lighties by defenceman Lars Lindgren, a Swede who toiled over six seasons in Vancouver from 1978 through 1984. Collectors clamber over each other for the opportunity to obtain one of these rare shirts and once they get snapped up you rarely see them on the market again. Lindgren’s black mesh Sandow jersey displays his number “3” on the back and cuffs with yellow/orange/black Canucks skate logo crest decorating each upper arm. This one has the original name plate with orange tackle twill lettering and a faded double Sandow tag in the collar. What a heavy shirt... it must have been a chore to play in these! Game wear, although hard to spot on this black material, is very evident and those board burns do show up well. A treat is the five stitched team repairs.
