Another rare and highly sought card from the C55 1911-12 Imperial Tobacco set of 45 hockey cards, this Fred “Cyclone” Taylor card has been rated 4-VG/EX by Sportscard Guaranty. Taylor scored nine goals in 13 games with the Renfrew Creamery Kings of the fledgling National Hockey Association in 1909-10, and 12 in 16 games the following season. Although they were nicknamed the Millionaires because of team owner J. Ambrose O’Brien’s attempts to stockpile the Creamery Kings in their bid to win a championship, even the great Cyclone was unable to deliver a title to Renfrew. Taylor’s card was No. 20 in the remarkable C55 set and this is a rare opportunity to claim one of the early treasures of the hobby.
