The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
Hall of Fame defenseman Earl Seibert pulled off a remarkable feat by winning Stanley Cups with both the New York Rangers (1933) and the Chicago Black Hawks (1938), the two most championship-deficient Original Six teams. He never overcame the guilt of dealing the bodycheck that ended Howie Morenz’ career and the tragic consequences that led to the Canadiens’ legend’s untimely death while he was hospitalized. Seibert has signed and personalized this original painting of himself by artist Carleton "Mac" McDiarmid on its original 13" x 15 1/2" professional illustration board.
