The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
At the World Cup in 2004, Team Canada recognized those Canadian Olympic teams who came before them by wearing this replica throw-back style jersey first worn by the Winnipeg Falcons, gold medal winners at the 1920 Winter Olympics held in Antwerp, Belgium. This vintage-style mustard uniform by Nike was worn by Robyn Regehr on August 31, 2004, against Team USA in a match held in Montreal. Tagged in the neck in size 58 with a stylish embroidered red Maple Leaf crest and special patches at the shoulders as a tip-of-the-hat to the Falcons. The World Cup patch rests on the left breast and Nike’s inventory bar is heat sealed in the lower hem. Light wear, as is to be expected, includes a smattering of stick marks, mostly on the left arm. Comes with a letter of authenticity on Hockey Canada letterhead signed by President Bob Nicholson.
