Hall of Fame defenceman Larry Murphy wore this helmet during the final years of his stellar career with the Detroit Red Wings. A repeat Stanley Cup champion with Pittsburgh in 1991 and 1992, Murphy accomplished the same feat with the Red Wings in 1997 and 1998. The red CCM helmet has its original visor attached and features “Red Wings” stickers on both sides and Murphy’s No. 55 in white on the back of the helmet. A black and orange NHL crest logo outlined in white is affixed to the bottom right of the back of the helmet, which has its original CCM strap. The front inside padding was modified for Murphy’s comfort, with a panel of foam cut away and a soft Velcro insert stuck in place. The inside padding is otherwise untouched and exhibits good use.
