The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
The Montreal Canadiens had high hopes for first-round pick Terry Ryan when they drafted him eighth overall in 1995. Less was expected of Jean-Francois Houle, the son of Rejean Houle, who was chosen 99th overall in 1993. Ryan, who had 110 points and 207 penalty minutes one year in junior hockey, appeared in just eight games with Montreal from 1996-97 to 1998-99 and failed to record a point during his brief NHL career. This white No. 14 jersey with red, white and blue tackle twill numbers was issued to Ryan and has its original Starter neck tag and laundry instruction and size “56-R” tags sewn inside. The bottom right hem features a blue and white Starter logo and a black and orange NHL crest logo. Houle’s red No. 45 jersey features “Starter” embroidered on the hem along with the NHL logo and still has its original tags as well, including a “54-R” size tag. Both jerseys have their original fight straps.
