Here’s a sensational white mesh Islanders jersey that was worn by Bob Bourne at the peak of the Long Island team’s Stanley Cup dynasty. A fast-skating left wing, Bourne averaged a point a game in the postseason during the Islanders run of four straight Stanley Cups with 31 goals and 43 assists in 74 playoff games from 1980-83. This fantastic photo matched Bourne gamer has a few stick marks on the front of the jersey and a small mark on the rear left hem. There is also a solid mark through the "N" in the tackle twill Islanders logo crest sewn onto the front. Two original tags remain sewn into the neck and a small original fight strap is sewn on the inside of the jersey below the No. 14 on the back. Aside from a very faded No. 14 that was handwritten in marker on one of the tags, both are completely washed out. Individual blue letters outlined in orange, all in tackle twill, are sewn onto a white mesh nameplate, which is sewn across the back shoulder. The number on the back and numbers on both arms are tackle twill blue and orange, with a small mark on the "4" on the left arm and another on the "1" on the back. An outstanding jersey from a four-time Stanley Cup champion, this gorgeous Islanders gamer comes along with Bob Bourne’s signed letter of authenticity.
