The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
An injury kept Lappy out of the 1972 Summit Series so he got a chance to live out Team Canada’s international itinerary when the Habs traveled to Sweden and Russia prior to the 1990-91 season. A fantastic photo album with 35 color prints of intimate shots of the Canadiens’ trip highlights this huge lot that includes two sets of Soviet leader nesting dolls. A Dynamo Riga game program and a copy of the special CCCP vs. Montreal issue of Les Canadiens magazine, Russian language ticket stubs, a Canadiens travel alarm clock and a Dynamo Riga – Montreal Canadiens souvenir puck, sticker, pin and medal are included. An itinerary booklet from the Canadiens’ 1990 trip and an assortment of Raymond Weil, Gucci and Citizen watches are in the lot, along with a pair of Soviet watches. A seal soapstone with a tiny “NHL – NHLPA Soviets” plaque, a Canada Cup souvenir puck, a 10” x 8” photo of Team Canada 1981, and a 24” x 18” framed 17” x 11” photo of Team Canada 2002’s training camp with facsimile signatures completes this lot that includes a collection of assorted pennants, magazines, travel brochures, newspapers and a grab bag of pins and curios from the Habs’ historic European trip. Comes with Lappy's LOA.
