Hockey Memorabilia Auction - Spring 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/10/2008
High quality air-knit jersey is by Mizuno and features a snazzy Japanese national team crest sewn on the front. “Suzuki” and the number “16”s on the back and sleeves are in tackle twill and also sewn-on, while the assistant captain’s “A” is heat-pressed. With a Mizuno patch on the left sleeve and the company’s name screened across the lower back, the jersey exhibits moderate game use with multiple black stick marks on the front and each sleeve. Some light burns (right elbow) and some red paint transfer (back) are also notable. This one was “scored” at the 1994 World Championships (Pool B) in Copenhagen, Denmark where Japan won four and lost three to finish fourth in an 8-team competition. Great jersey to rectify the Japanese void in your international collection.
