After winning silver at the World Hockey Championships for the first time in 23 years in 1985 and following up with a bronze the next year, Canada took silver at the 1989 competition. This three-inch silver medal brought home by a member of the Canadian squad features a hockey scene and “World Championships” on the face with the enameled IIHF logo and wording gracing the reverse. The heavy award hangs on a regal blue and yellow ribbon and is in near mint condition.
