Joe Cronin was one of the finest shortstops of his era. He played 20 big league seasons, mostly with The Boston Red Sox between 1926 and 1945. He had an outstanding lifetime batting average of .301 while playing the toughest infield position. Cronin was the general manager in 1954 and personally signed this type written letter on October 1st, 1954 on a Red Sox-embossed letterhead. Joe Cronin passed away in 1984 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956. This is a one of a kind personal letter that will be a great addition to any collection. The signature is clear and rates an 8/10.
