Casey Stengel was born in 1911 and had done it all before his passing away in 1975. He was both a great baseball player and then a manager, but mostly a baseball legend! Stengel had a splendid career before starting his brilliant managerial career as he ended his playing days after 14 years with a very respectable .284 lifetime batting average. Casey was also a member of the 1922 Yankee team that won the World Series. Little did he or anyone know that that was just the beginning, as Casey went on to manage the New York Yankees to six more World Series titles. He later became the first-ever manager of the New York Mets in 1962. Not long before he passed away he was able to autograph this postcard, that has been PSA/DNA certified and rates a nice looking 6/10.
