A true baseball legend, Satchel Paige autographed this Hall of Fame postcard before his passing away in 1982. It is PSA/DNA certified and rates 6/10. There is so much to be said about this man who was the first player from the Negro Leagues to be enshrined in baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1971. Before joining the majors as a 41-year old rookie with the Cleveland Indians, he had already played over 20 years with many different teams in the Negro Leagues. His best seasons came with the Pittsburgh Crawfords during the 1932-33 seasons which saw him post won-loss records of 32-7 and 31-4. Satchel played just five full seasons in the majors, but in 1965 at 58 years old he pitched three scoreless innings for the Kansas City A’s. A definite must for a big-time autograph collection.
