Joe McCarthy never played a single game in the major leagues, but sure witnessed a ton. He is one of the all-time great managers in baseball history. McCarthy was born in 1887 and became a manager in 1926 with The Chicago Cubs. He went on to manage the likes of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and against Ty Cobb. In 1931 McCarthy started his Yankee career and won an incredible seven World Series titles. He was elected in 1957 and passed away in 1978. In 1965 he autographed this black and white Hall of Fame postcard, signing “With Best Wishes To Arnie Poloyors Sept 22nd 1965 From Joe McCarthy”. This unique autograph rates 7/10, and has been PSA/DNA certified.
