From Brad Wilkerson's rookie season which saw the young outfielder get into 47 games after making his major league debut on July 12th comes this pinstriped beauty. Brad's white knit Expos home jersey is in size 48 and has a Russell Athletic tag sewn on the front tail. The lettering and numbers are sewn-on in splendid blue and red tackle twill and an embroidered Expos patch appears on the left sleeve. Most notable is the American flag patch sewn over a small Major League Baseball logo (above "Wilkerson") which all teams started wearing to show support for a country in crisis following the September 11th terrorist attacks. Autographed on the front above the number in black sharpie, the jersey is in excellent condition and was worn by a fine young player who showed he belonged in the bigs by smacking 20 home runs in his first full season in 2002. A certificate of authenticity from the Phillies Phestival, where this jersey was purchased at auction in 2004, will also be included. The Phillies Phestival is an annual autograph party and auction to benefit ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and has been held yearly since 1984 by the Philadelphie Phillies.
