Solid-hitting Jose Vidro reached All-Star status while with the Expos, following up his 200-hit season of 2000 with another .300-plus batting average (.319) in 2001. Jose's white knit Expos home jersey is in size 46 and has a Russell Athletic tag sewn on the front tail. The lettering and numbers are sewn-on in gorgeous blue and red tackle twill and an embroidered Expos patch adorns the left sleeve. Most notable is the American flag patch sewn over a small Major League Baseball logo (above "Vidro") which all teams started wearing to show support for a country in crisis following the September 11th terrorist attacks. Autographed on the front above the number in black sharpie, the jersey is in excellent condition and was worn by an excellent second baseman. A certificate of authenticity from the Phillies Phestival, where this jersey was purchased at auction in 2004, will also be included. The Phillies Phestival is an annual autograph party and auction to benefit ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and has been held yearly since 1984 by the Philadelphie Phillies.
