After a prolific junior career with the Calgary Centennials, Danny Gare wasted no time making his mark in the NHL, scoring in his first game, helping the Sabres to a 9-5 win over visiting Boston, en route to a 31-goal rookie season. The puck Danny did it with is joined here by pucks with which the right winger scored his first playoff goal (against Chicago in the ‘75 quarter-finals), and his first overtime playoff goal. All three pucks are Converse affairs and made into small trophies with engraved plates. Some crazing in the rubberized Sabres logos to mention, along with Gare’s 1979-80 Sabres Most Valuable Player award (9” x 12”), received from the team’s Booster Club following his 56-goal career year. Fine pieces of Sabres history.
