Des Moines, Iowa was represented in the International Hockey League by the Oak Leafs from 1963 to 1972, with this swell durene knit jersey by Rawlings including “44” on the half-detached company tag in the inner rear hem (right hip). A tackle twill and chain-stitched crest, “Des Moines” sewn directly to the back (no nameplate) and the tackle twill numbers are to mention, along with the garter-style fight strap. Game use includes some blood stains on the lower front (white stripe), a few black stick marks and a 4” long team repair on the right sleeve. Some ten runs throughout went unrepaired and the stitching on the top and bottom edges of the 8 on the back has let go. Yet another nifty old minor pro gamer to pursue.
