Kingston, Ontario-born Hank Goldup spent parts of four seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs after winning the OHA junior scoring championship while a member of the Toronto Marlboros, with none more memorable than 1941-42 when the Leafs edged the Detroit Red Wings in seven games to capture Lord Stanley's coveted trophy. And that, after trailing 3-games-to-none in the Cup finals! Toronto had made it to the final "dance" eight times in 11 years when it finally captured its first Cup title since 1932, doing it the hardest of all possible ways. No team since has duplicated the Leafs' exceptional performance in the finals. These wonderful chenille patches were once sewn on the team jacket that left winger Hank Goldup wore with pride. Now framed, they include a Leafs team patch and an accompanying 3" by 4" one with crossed hockey sticks, the year and "World Champions". Outstanding wartime hockey treasures will come with a letter of authenticity from the son of Hank Goldup.
