Splendid salesman sample ring recalls Canada’s gold medal performance at the
1994 World Championships in Milan, Italy and is similar to the rings goaltending hero Bill Ranford and his teammates received for capturing Canada’s first world title in 33 years. The 2-1 clinching win came down to a sudden death shootout after both teams scored twice in the initial shootout round of five shooters. Luc Robitaille then scored and Ranford foiled Mika Nieminen to give Canada the ultimate triumph. The Hockey Canada logo, “World Champions” and two cubic zircons are on the face here, with “Italy 1994” on one side and “Ranford 31” on the other. Stamped “Intergold” on the interior of the band, the size 10-1/2 ring is in excellent condition, showing light wear. The interior of the band is also stamped ''ASS 16867''.
