Montreal Canadiens’ goaltending legend Georges Vezina was in his last of 15 seasons with the Habs when this card was issued by the William Paterson company in 1924-25. He actually started the next season, but collapsed in the season opener, dieing a few months later from tuberculosis. Card number 43 in the 60-card “V-125-2” set and offered inside packages of Paterson’s candy bars, this blank-backed affair has light peripheral creases, along with edge/corner wear and toning. A mighty decent “Good” card, it is one of only eight Vezina cards issued during his playing days. A great addition to a Vezina/goalie/vintage card collection.
