The type of role player that all teams need in their lineup, Jim Roberts spent four and a half seasons toiling for the Blues before being traded back to Montreal during the '71-72 campaign. Donned the previous season by the gritty Roberts, this desirable blue durene St. Louis jersey includes size 48 Rawlings and Giesler-Jorgen tags in the inner rear hem, along with a washing instructions tag. Nice moderate game use includes a quarter-size team repair just to the left of the blue note crest, a pea-size hole a couple of inches beneath the crest, a nickel-size repair on the right sleeve where red paint transfer and a couple of burns appear and multiple (7) red paint marks near the right seam. An LOA from Rich Ellis explains how this set of Blues jerseys was hemmed when used after the fact by a high school team, with this one later un-hemmed. A loop-style fight strap and wear to the tackle twill numbers are also of note.
