Gorgeous display piece recalls a long gone NHL franchise, the New York Americans disappearing off the face of the NHL map following the 1941-42 season, actually playing the '41-42 campaign as the "Brooklyn" Americans. Beautiful chenille Americans crest here was salvaged from an original Americans team jacket and then sewn onto this vintage jacket. The label in the collar reads "Lambs Laine 100% Wool Fabric by Warwick Woolen Mills - Styled by Craft Sportswear Ltd. Toronto." Snap front garment features a chenille number "12" on the left sleeve and a patch with the Canadian and British flags on the right. Long-style jacket has stretchy cream color collar and cuffs and has survived in fantastic condition with no real detracting flaws, just a little fraying at the base of the inner lining. The Americans crest by the way originally came from Nick Wasnie, a right winger who saw action with five NHL teams, including the Americans in 1932-33. Cool!
