Comical work of art is an original watercolor painting done in the 1960s when Toronto Maple Leaf defenceman Bob Baun, like many NHLers of the day, worked “regular” jobs in the off-season. Baun is caricaturized here with “Ace Salesman - Alex Irvine Motors” on a Leaf-like sweater and is getting whacked with an umbrella by a little old lady. The caption reads “You young whippersnapper!! I don’t care if you are a famous tennis player - you can’t tell me I have a bucket seat!!” Signed by artist Ben Wilson, the splendid work is double-matted and framed to approximately 29” by 36” and ready to display. From Bobby Baun’s personal collection, with his signed LOA.
