Classic and ever-popular Chicago Black Hawks jersey had some number changes over the years and dates to the 1965-66 to '68-69 time frame, with General Athletic (inner left hip region) and Gunzo's Sports Center (collar) tags helping date it. Numbers 25 and 8 were once sewn on the jersey, with 17 team repairs on the back and a dozen more on the sleeves mostly the result of the changes. Red Hay, Gerry Goyer and Jim Pappin are the number “8”s who would have donned the jersey, with the “5” added to the recycled shirt, likely for practice, in the '70s. An LOA from Rich Ellis details all the possibilities. Some good stick marks on the front, including one in the face of the Indian head logo, interior pilling and red paint transfer along the front hem are notable signs of game use.
