We know, kind of cruel to start off a Hull/Black Hawks section with a Jets jersey, but oh well, life is never perfect. After over 600 goals in a Chicago uniform, Bobby Hull wowed the fans in Winnipeg for six seasons, wearing this blue mesh jersey along the way. It would have been during the first half of the 1975-76 season before Jets uniforms included a XXXX patch. Tagging in the neck is almost undecipherable but what looks to be “XL” is still present. Lovely chain-stitching on blue knit material is responsible for the team crest on the front, while “Hull” in individual white tackle twill letters (no nameplate) is sewn above Bobby’s number 9 on the back. Light game use to report with however a good 4” black stick mark on the left sleeve (elbow area) and a black slash/hook mark in the 9 on the right. A black mark in the upper white stripe on the back, a small hole in the lower stripe and pilling to the “9” are also notable. From a season that saw the Golden Jet hit the 50-goal mark (53) for the fourth straight year with Winnipeg, the jersey is being offered to the hobby for the first time and represents a fantastic WHA offering. Will come with an LOA.
