Bobby Orr, the man who burst onto the NHL scene in 1966 and lived up to all advanced billing, used this Victoriaville Pro model stick in the 1970s after he had revolutionized the way hockey was played. Bobby’s standard long, ribbed grip, done in black and finished off with white tape, the somewhat faded “4 B ORR” stamped on the front of the shaft just below, and the no-longer-present accent striping are all notable, along with the tape-free and puck-marked blade and lower shaft. Wear to the top and bottom edges of the chipped blade suggest after-the-fact use. Solid though and without cracks, it’s a tempting offering for those who have yet to acquire an Orr “wand”.
