From one of the most memorable Oldtimers' games ever come these Oilers and Canadiens jerseys autographed by some of the men who braved bitter cold temperatures to take part in an outdoor game at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium in November of 2003. Over 50,000 witnessed the “Megastars” game that preceded the Oilers-Canadiens regular season game. Both numberless jerseys are CCM “Official Licensed” vintage-style jobs in size “Adult L” and feature some wonderful autographs on the crests. The Oilers includes 17, highlighted by Gretzky, Messier, Fuhr, Lowe, Anderson and Ranford, while among those signing for Montreal (22) were Lafleur, Robinson, Lapointe, Nilan, Carbonneau, Lambert, Houle, Muller, Napier, Courtnall and coach Demers. From the personal collection of former Canadien Rod Langway, with his signed LOA. Take not that these are not from the collection of Rod Langway as stated in the catalogue and therefore the lot does not include an LOA signed by Langway but one will be provided on Classic's letterhead.
