Lovers of old arena memorabilia will love this lot from the onetime home of the Montreal Canadiens. The Mount Royal Arena was built in 1920 (on Mount Royal Avenue) and was home to the Habs until they moved permanently into the Forum in 1926. The building, which had become a commercial building, was destroyed by fire in February of 2000, with these 11 bricks being salvaged after the blaze. The 11 bricks have been mounted on wooden bases and will be accompanied by as many 8” by 12” color photos of the historic landmark before it suffered its fate, along with 11 snapshots of the rubble from which the bricks were pulled. Cool!
