Super intriguing vintage autograph book is led off by 12 mostly fountain pen signatures of the 1935 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Maroons, with the page dated “3-30-35”, the night Montreal advanced to the finals by eliminating the Rangers. Alex Connell’s signature at the top is a key, while Lionel Conacher’s pencil sig was done over that of Jimmy Ward. Others were penned by (from the top), Blinco, Shields, Marker, Gracie, Starr, Evans, Wentworth, Cain and Northcott. The reverse includes the original owner’s detailed account of the Rangers-Maroons home and home series, while another page (autographed by Earl Seibert and Bill MacKenzie on one side), details Montreal’s 3-game sweep of the Leafs in the finals and describes the qualities of each player. Finally, quotes from winning coach Tommy Gorman and goalie Connell are on another page. Utterly fascinating!
