A lovely golden stick pin here features the winged-wheel logo of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association and includes a small pearl or pearl-like piece in the middle. The logo, which later was the inspiration for the Detroit red Wings' logo, also appears on a tiny lapel pin, the latter including the club's red, white and blue colors. The spokes of the wheel represent the various recreational and sporting branches of the athletic club. We cannot spot any markings on the 2-inch stick pin which is accompanied by a purple velvet case with ''Henry Birks & Sons Limited'' printed on a silk interior. The lapel pin, with screw back, is also in excellent condition and recalls the story of how the Montreal AAA hockey team, also known as the ''Winged Wheelers'', was the first to win the Stanley Cup in 1893.
