The stirring scene the night the Montreal Forum closed its doors March 11, 1996 and Maurice Richard, the man who fittingly received a long, thunderous standing ovation that sent shivers down the spines of all those present and who watched on television, and brought tears to the icon's eyes, are the stars in this spectacular lot from Mr. Ron Ouellette. Ron's photograph of former Canadiens legends taking part in the memorable closing ceremonies has become legendary in itself, with the offering here sure to provoke several gasps! There are (60) of the 16" by 20" prints signed by Rocket Richard in gold ink, with another 23 framed Richard-autographed photos and three burgundy-matted and framed jobs. They were signed in Mr. Richard's living room on December 9, 1999, are numbered out of 100 and will come with a letter of authenticity from Ron Ouellette Sports (the certificate numbers matching the photo numbers), along with an 8" by 12" photo of the Rocket during the signing. Also included are 8" by 12" photos of the ceremonies autographed in the same classy gold ink by Jean Beliveau (3), Guy Lafleur (18) and Dickie Moore (5). Six similar-size Ouellette photos of the exterior of the Forum feature Patrick Roy autographs. Completing the jackpot are nine matted and framed Rocket displays featuring two oversized postcards picturing Maurice with the Stanley Cup and with the Habs' "torch", both signed by the most legendary torch-bearer of them all! Please note that the collection is subject to a silent reserve.
