The big bold fountain pen signatures of the 1931-32 Montreal Canadiens, led by the legendary Howie Morenz, highlight this fabulous offering, collected by a lady who was a receptionist at the fabled Montreal Forum. The perfect Morenz autograph is atop one of the pages and followed by the sigs of Nick Wasnie, Johnny Gagnon, Arthur Alexandre, Art Lesieur, Pit Lepine, Georges Mantha, Dunc Munro, Sylvio Mantha, Marty Burke and Armand Mondou, while on the flip side is where George Hainsworth, coach Cecil Hart, Wildor Larochelle, Marty Burke again and assistant trainer Jim Roach penned their names. Morenz won the Hart Trophy that season with his 24 goals and 49 points in 48 games. A similar Maple Leafs page meanwhile features the fountain pen autographs of Conn Smythe, King Clancy and Happy Day, with pencil signatures of Chas. Conacher, scoring champ Harvey Jackson, Ace Bailey, Red Horner, Frank Finnigan, Blair, Sands, Gracie, Robertson and Miller also present. Signing the reverse side were Levinsky, Cotton and Darragh. Other pages in the book were autographed by participants of the October, 1931 six-day bicycle race at the Forum. Over 20 single-signed pages include one penned by the famous William “Torchy” Peden, winner of the race. Numerous possibilities with this fantastic one-of-a-kind treasure.
