Exquisite and sensational creation by the Jostens company pays tribute to Maurice Richard and his sensational, without parallel career. The number 9 that the Rocket donned with pride while performing his heroic feats with the Canadiens is front and center on the tableau and includes 12 diamonds. Set onto a large red stone, it is encircled by the icon’s name in sloping letters, along with “1942” (the year of his first game with the Habs) and his retirement year of “1960”. One shank has a raised “544 Career Goals”, while engraving on hockey stick blades below references his Hall of Fame induction year (1961), his eight Stanley Cups, the Hart Trophy he was awarded in 1947 and his 14 selections to NHL All-Star teams. The opposite side features an image of the old Montreal Forum before its renovation in 1968, Richard’s facsimile signature above and the date his #9 jersey was retired in 1960 below. The Rocket’s classic signature also is engraved on the interior of the band of the size 11 ring which is stamped “Jostens 10K”. Limited edition tribute is numbered “7/10” and is in pristine condition. A stylish large flip-top wooden display/storage box (approximately 5” by 6” by 4” high) includes a golden facsimile Richard signature and will serve as a classy treasure chest!
