Serious Guy Lafleur and jersey enthusiasts will want to seriously consider this terrific offering, donned by the most electrifying player of an era. Guy Lafleur’s crazy run of six 50-goal seasons had come to an end when the Flower pulled this white knit Habs jersey over his head, but some magic was still left, Guy scoring 27 times in 1981-82 for the second of three straight campaigns. A blue and red Maska Ultrafil tag is in the collar, while “Maska” is embroidered into the rear hem. Measuring out to size 48, the jersey exhibits great game use, with numerous black stick marks and general filth on the lower front, a circular team repair just below the Habs tackle twill crest, four repairs and multiple red paint transfers on the right sleeve, a one-inch repair at the left cuff and stick marks and yellowish marks at both elbows and on the back, where several spec- size stains appear. Some “specs” above the team crest are also notable, along with the “Lafleur” nameplate and the garter-style fight strap. It is near the strap, on the reinforcement strip, where Guy penned a black marker autograph, adding his number “10”. Worn by one of Montreal’s most beloved hockey heroes, the formidable jersey will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
