One of the NHL’s premier defenceman known for his mobility despite his large size, Larry Robinson secured a pair of James Norris trophies as the league’s top blueliner during his HOF career, along with being named to an NHL All-Star Team a remarkable six times. From his final appearance at hockey’s best-on-best showcase in 1986, we have a Wales Conference captain's jersey worn by the Conn Smythe Trophy winner. A Gerry Cosby label with handwritten “52” sizing graces the collar, with an embroidered CCM* crest over the reverse bottom hem. Featuring “Wales” placed diagonally across the chest in dual-colour drop-shadow tackle twill, the solid white V-neck has been accented with sleeve and verso numbers in matching material, with “Robinson” in individual letters placed across the upper reverse. The garment has been further augmented with black twill stars placed over the front and reverse bands and sleeves, with NHL shield crests over each shoulder.
A few large stick marks are present over the lower front and right sleeve, with additional marks and some light staining/discolouration over the left sleeve. Worn during his sixth and final Stanley Cup-winning season, Robinson would score 82 points in just 78 games in 1985-86.
