Selected in the 9th round of the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft, 152nd overall by the Atlanta Flames after developing with the Oshawa Generals of the OHA and University of Toronto Varsity Blues, Larry Hopkins would play a total of sixty (60) National Hockey League games over the course of his career split between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets. Offered here, we present this Winnipeg jersey worn by Hopkins during his time with the club in both the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons. A heavy mesh construction made by Sandow SK, washed out brand and washing instructions tagging displaying a size "Extra Large" designation is affixed to the inner collar while the Sandow SK label is screened over the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a beautiful Jets team crest in flight satin that has "Winnipeg Jets" and other details embroidered into it, the sleeves and verso have had Hopkins' number "17" sewn to them in dual layer flight satin numerals while "Hopkins" has been embroidered via blue thread letters into the flight satin material nameplate affixed to the top of the reverse. Of note, damage to the "7" on the left sleeve is present. Displaying a loop and skate lace fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows light-to-moderate game-wear via stick marks over the lower front, reverse and both sleeves, the latter show a couple of small and light board burns as well. Displaying a small red board paint transfer mark on the inside of the left sleeve and some staining over the front to the right of the team crest, the white areas of the jersey are no longer a bright white worth mentioning for accuracy. Recycled from the 1981-82 season into the 1982-83 season, the Jets' 10th anniversary patch that graced the left shoulder during the first season it was worn in is no longer affixed though leftover threading from its placement is observed on the interior of the garment along with good pilling at the elbows.
