Featuring the boys of summer, we have an interesting baseball program and publication collection totaling approx. 106 items spanning from the 1930s up until the early-2000s, including a few World Series examples. First, we have a copy of The Sporting News Record Book for 1932 with Lefty Grove gracing the cover, followed by The Sporting News Baseball Guide for 1943, Spink Official Baseball Guides for 1958 (Ted Williams cover) and 1962 (Ruth/Maris cover), Dell’s Major League Baseball for 1951 (Phil Rizzuto cover) and Who’s Who in Baseball edition’s for 1978 and 1980. Next, we have unscored World Series programs for 1981 (2), 1984, 1987 and 1988 (2), along with ALCS programs for 1980 (Yankees/Kansas City), 1983 (Baltimore/Chicago) and 1992 (Toronto/Oakland), as well as a 1984 NLCS program (Chicago/San Diego). National League Green Books are next, with examples for 1976, 1977 and 1978, along with an AL Red Book for 1978, this is followed by 16 French-language baseball magazines from the 1950s including issues 1-9 of La Grande Histoire du Baseball (1982), 5 1950s baseball magazines, 12 assorted MLB programs (1976 Dodgers/Tigers/Royals/Astros, 1975 Giants, 1977 Blue Jays, etc), an additional 16 misc. publications including the Reggie Jackson scrapbook (1977), the history of Tiger Stadium, the Astrodome and Comiskey Park, 27 mixed MLB media guides including 1979 Pirates, 1984 Blue Jays, 1987 Mariners, 1980 Orioles, and 1984, 1987 and 1989 guides for Montreal. Rounding out the lot, we have a pair of items featuring Bob Feller, with a low-grade copy of the comic book Baseball Thrills from 1951 and a rarely-seen 14” x 21” 2-page magazine spread from 1952 advertising Wheaties (toning, with tape along center seam). Lastly, we also have four vintage baseball scrapbooks along with a large binder with a near-complete master set of The Sporting News Conlon collection from the early 1990s, with the majority of the cards appearing in high-grade, with lower possible technical grades.
