All-Star defenseman Kevin Lowe was back where he belonged with the Edmonton Oilers for his final full NHL season in 1996-97. Lowe was a key part of the Oilers dynasty that won the Stanley Cup five times before won the Cup for the sixth time with the Rangers in 1994. Back with the Oilers for his swan song, Kevin wore this 1996-97 Oilers gamer with “Numbering and lettering by RMC Sports” tagging in the back of the neck along with a size 56 flag tag and a 1996-97 team patch sewn inside the rear tail. Loads of team repairs on the sleeves of this game-worn jersey with major sewing surgery on both, including eight fabric patchs on each sleeve, and a fabric patch repair on the left breast. Comes with an Oilers LOA and a MeiGray COR.
There is a faint yellowish stain on the left breast of the jersey and reddish-brown staining around the bottom of the team crest and more wear shows in unrepaired cut holes on the front tail and various marks.
“Edmonton Oilers Set #1 96/97 RMC Sports” team patch is sewn inside the rear tail.
Lowe had one goal and 13 assists in 64 games with the Oilers in 1996-97. He played seven games without a point for Edmonton the following season.
